New Batts
I got the pictures. Finally. This is called Crazy Egg and the name really does mean exactly that. The colors are wild and the fiber content is bamboo, romney, mohair, alpaca and "snow".

You might want to click on this one to make it bigger.

This one shows the iridescent "snow" in it. I love how this batt looks and I can not wait to spin it up. It is for sure next after the Cherry Baby. I am curious to see the colors as well as how the snow feels. It has a fairly thick diameter so I am not sure if it will be soft or pokey. This is month one of my newest fiber club. I love these things as I get something in the mail when I least expect it. It is from HollyEQQ that I found through Gina.
I also got a feeble shot of the Spring Things Shawl. It is not fun trying to pin it out still on the needles but you do

get an idea of how it is looking. I will have to get outdoor shots of the colors as the little hint of purple and charcoal really add to it.

Wow...you are just whipping that shawl out, aren't you? It looks fabulous!!! And isn't HollyEEQ awesome? I love her batts. I've got a blue one I haven't spun up yet but I'm due to buy another one....he he. Great job! BTW, take a look at my blog on the right for the new Headband Gallery!

What a fun batt! Hope you spin it right away so we can see how the yarn looks. Susan's shawl is looking good!

Wow, I love that shawl! I hadn't seen that pattern before. I love your version so much I'm putting it on my "to knit" list!

Yeah!! You got it!
I am glad you like it. Did you like your Easter Grass? I was going to buy some real grass but then realized that Angelina looks like Easter grass and is even better because you can spin it! Don't be put off by the color - it blends beautifully in small doses with almost any color fiber.
As for the snow. When I spin with it, I usually trim the edges after I wash it so the bits sticking out aren't hanging off. This keeps it from being itchy. I haven't had a problem so far, and it definitely gives it a whole new unique look. Definitely give me feedback, because I TOTALLY make batts to be wearable and I wouldn't want to add something that doesn't work for all types of spinners!
Happy Spinning. I can't wait to see finished photos.

OOo! So glad to see you joined Holly's club. Isn't she just wonderful? Can't wait to see what you do w/ the fiber, and I can't believe how quickly you are cranking out that shawl! WOW
