FO Friday
Finally I got that right. Seems like I always post finished stuff when it is done and this just happened to be done today. Yes, the tank is done and I wish I could say that I love it. I really love it here.
I mean look at the gorgeous colors in the yarn and I love how the lace looks and even the finishing turned out great. But look at it here.
YIKES! I almost didn't even post this photo. I think it needs the black bar across the eyes to protect the innocent. It just doesn't work on me. The front top rolls down and the whole thing is too long. It also is too wide at the top since it really has no shaping and I had to make it that size if I wanted to get it over my chest. This was a time that waist shaping would of really helped as it is baggy there and just makes me have to shape at all. Maybe that is why the show the model with a belt on with it.
Oh well, next project please! I think I will just hang it in my office as I really like how it looks and then I can enjoy it without having to wear it. Lesson learned that shapeless pieces and me do not work.

I like how the tank top looks, you are right about the colors. Before you totally was your hands of it, you might try to wear with only minimal blocking. It looks like you blocked this piece like a lace piece should be blocked, but since you it sounds like you wanted something a little more form fitting, you might it with minimal blocking. This would allow for stretchiness to cling to you, but still show the lace pattern to some extent...
Just an idea. Beautuful job!

I think that, despite your murderous look (he he), it's such a nice lace piece. I do agree that it does need some shaping- to highlight your nice waist and such.....but maybe it's meant to be more of a lingerie piece? The colors are perfect for you, too. Wonderful job...and...at least it's done, right?! ;P

Hey, that looks good! I love the pattern and the color... Yeah, all you need is a cool belt and wear it high around your ribs... My friend Grace is really into fashion and she always wears high waisted skirts with thick funky belts and the look works!

The look on your face cracks me up! You are so not happy! The tank certainly doesn't show off what a cute figure you have. But I like the idea of just not blocking it so it stretches when you put it on.. or even the belt idea. It's way too cute to give up on. But like you said.. you can always hang it in your office like a piece of art :)
