Take 2

So after the tank disaster I decided to take the suggestion to re-block the tank and......it worked! I just soaked it again then laid it out in the size and shape I was hoping for. Here it is with a much happier face.

Essential Tank - Take 2

Now if the weather would just cooperate. I mean I sat in the sun on Friday, it was cool on Saturday, it rained on Sunday and today I even contemplated a jacket. What the....

I also have made the decision to put the Zephyros Shawl in time out. I almost threw the pattern out the window as we drove on Sunday. It is totally my mistakes but I have never had this much trouble with a pattern and I have knit much more complicated lace. It is going on to waste yarn until I have more patience for it.

Instead I decided to spin. It was much more relaxing and I finished a whole bobbin of singles with the BFL that I just dyed.

BFL Lace Singles

I think when I get my knitting confidence back I will use this to make something. There is 750 yards of it so maybe I will do the Diamond Fantasy Shawl I have been putting off. This yarn is much closer in weight to what I wanted then one I was using. Since it is still wet after its thrashing I guess I spin again tonight.

Oh, beautiful reblocked tank! AND much happier pic ; )

I LOVE your new handspun. I've been spinning more lately, too. And knitting less. Your singles are so inspiring! I took your advice and ordered from Spritely Goods and got a couple batts (check my blog tomorrow or Friday for details) and I think I'll use that as singles for a shawl.

Always a great day when you show us your spinning!

Now that is one gorgeous tank and it looks great on you! I envy your spinning. I can't get myself to like spinning what so ever... my poor wheel.
