Swatch

I did a swatch of what I am thinking of doing with my yarn. It is not in that yarn but the same yarn different color. It is leftover from my Icarus.

Swatch for next project

I used size 7 needles for this and I am not sure if they are too big or not. I used 6's last time and might switch to those for the actual project. The plan is to do the blocks at the start break them up and then bring the holes back into blocks at the other end. What do you think? Like it or is it too weird? Opinions are appreciated, really.

I think the design is great and I love the size of it too. Stick with those same needles!

I think it's very unique and original and would show off many types of yarn really well. I'm with Megann - go for it!

Yes, I would do that...the transitioning/melding/melting....haha you get it. I love that kind of Escheresque flow (who says that chemists don't know about art!).

The size needle? depends on the drape of the swatch, maybe????? does it feel good? I'm sure 7 and 6 both look great...does one make it dramatically stiffer than the other? am I stating the obvious!!

I love that pattern at the bottom...have it in mind for a shawl in the future, maybe with a little stitch patterning in the center of the rectangle......or not.
