I LOVE THIS PROJECT!

I told you I was going to start the Indigo Ripples Skirt and when I finally got the yarn I dove right in. I wanted to have it done by Saturday so I could take it for our ranch vacation. It would of been so cute for square dancing with some cowboy boots but I am not sure if that will happen. Here is the progress.

Indigo Ripples Skirt - Progress

It is currently 10" long but needs to be about 16" before I can start the lace and that will end around 24" to allow for shrinkage. Then there is the super cute but takes forever (per others who have gone before me say) ruffle. I guess it is a good thing the cabin has a washer and dryer so that if I do finish it I can at least wash and dry it and maybe have a chance to wear it.

So far I have to say it is faster and easier then lace but the yarn can easily be snagged so you do have to watch out for that but I just love it even if it does turn you hands blue. The lace section is very straightforward so hopefully that will sail along too. I have even slipped it on carefully, while still on the needles, to see how the waist and hip size went. All looks good.

Here is too some speed knitting over the next two nights!

MeMe

So Megann tagged me for this so I thought I would do it to get back to blogging.

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

My blogging has been low on my list lately as I have been dealing with the nastiest thing I have ever had...Cluster Headaches. They are kind of like migraines, which I have never had, but come on quickly, are so painfull I can barely stand and last anywhere from a minute to hours. You never know when they are going to come and the Dr.'s only suggestion is to take ibuprofen. I decided that popping meds every day was not something I can live with so I went to the health food/ vitamin store and got some advice. The vitamin specialist suggested a couple of things to try and I have really seen an improvement in the headaches and even if it is all mental I would do anything to make them stop. So between the diet change and the herbs that have been shown to help with headaches hopefully I will get this all under control soon because having tons of tests just to be told everything is fine is getting old.

My knitting has been in a slump too because of these headaches so I really have nothing to show except a few rows on the on going projects. I do have yarn coming for a new one that I hope will help with the slump it is Rowan Denim and the project is the Indigo Ripples Skirt. Hopefully it will turn out as cute as all the ones I have seen.
