New Knitting
So, I saw this post yesterday that has inspired new knitting. Even though I have 2 projects going, the SotS3 and a secret gifty one, I have decided to take them on.
See The 3 Day has been something I have been training for and of course you all know raising money for since a lot of you have helped out in that department, $975 raised by knitters so far, but I never had a team. I had met people on a few training walks but they were mostly already paired up and didn't want or need another. That was until this past weekend. I found a woman doing training walks close by, not in my neighborhood but close enough for me. I emailed back and forth with her a few times and decided to join her team for a 17 mile training walk. Let me tell you I was scared for the walking part as I had not gone this far in my training but I sucked it up and went. Let me tell you that was the best decision I ever made. The ladies on the team are great. So much fun to talk and walk with and they asked if I was walking alone or with a team. When I said alone they said you have to join us as we need an extra person so that we have a even number to tent with and now I am on a team with 7 others. I have met 3 out of the 4 that live here and the others are coming from Colorado. I now have a team with people who are as excited about this experience as I am and it makes all the difference. So the hats are something I want to do as a surprise for all of them plus they will probably come in handy at night in camp.
Sorry no photos but once I get the first hat done I will post it. I only have until November 21st but I don't think they will take that long. I had quite the time finding the yarn I wanted but finally decided on it today so as soon as it gets here it is boobs hats all the time until they are all done.

OMG those hats are perfect for the 3-day! you could even go so far as to embroider a team name on the back...or a slogan. My current favorite that I see around is "save the ta-tas" i have no idea why, but it must appeal to my inner juvenile.
Congratulations on finding yourself a team, it's always more fun to walk that kind of distance with others :)
