Finally Done!
I can't believe this took me so long. I guess it was the problem I had in getting the YO to line up when I joined yarn for the second half. Even after waiting this long, since last December, I still had quite a few trial and error moments. But all is good now.

I couldn't get any modeled shots as it was too windy and the shawl did nothing but blow around even these were tough. The design is my own and I really like the simplicity of it with most of the lace part coming at the ends with beads. I even did a beaded bind off which I really like. I did mine different then others I have seen so the beads are right inside the edge rather then on it which I like better since they don't seem to move around as much there. I think I may even get around to writing this one up in a form that others can understand, not just my notes on scratch paper.

New Socks
I just finished the other day another pair of socks. I decided to use up some leftover sock yarn from a lace piece I designed a while back. I love the color of the yarn but I guess I should since I had Stephanie at Spritely Goods dye it for me.

The stitch pattern is from Sensational Knitted Socks and is called Baby Cable. The rest I just winged from all my sock knitting experience.(cough, cough, wink, wink) I did do an eye of partridge heel and a basic toe, at least that is what I am calling it.
The yarn is Cayli's Bouquet in Sylph and knit on size 1.5 needles over 68 stitches, magic loop style.
I have also resurrected a long forgotten lace piece after I figured out a problem with it. So lace pictures next time.

Wow!...The 3 Day
I am back and I had a great time. Don't get me wrong it was hard work and quite a bit of pain at times but I made it. I did have to take the bus to shave off a few miles on the last day when I ended up with 9 HUGE blisters but I did walk the last bit under my own power even if it did mean limping. Here are just a few of the pictures I took. (You might have to click on some of them to get the whole shot.)
Opening Ceremonies Fran, Julie, Donna, Amy, Nancy Lorena and myself.

Walking through Del Mar towards Torrey Pines.

At the base of Torrey Pines before going up with Lorena and Nancy.

Lunch at La Jolla Shores.

Cute Dogs

A great motorcycle crew with great outfits. Gotta love those shorts.

A sign of camp life.

The boob hats were quite the hit.

They even brought the Clydesdales out at Sea World to see us.

Walker Stalkers.

Just before we left camp on Day 3. Eric, Angel, Fran, Lorena, Julie, Nancy, Donna, myself and Amy.

4000 walkers getting ready to walk to closing ceremonies.

A salute to the survivors.

It was a great time and I am even thinking I might have to do it again.
