3 Day Shirt and Boob Hats
I finally finished all the hats. The last one was painful to finish as I was sick of them by then but there would be no quitting. Here they are with a shirt I designed for the walk.

I wanted a shirt that had the city and dates of the walk. I mean I had a shirt that I bought that has all the 3 Day logo stuff on it but they don't offer any with the individual city info on them. I think this is a huge oversight on their part but I'm not in charge so I took charge and made my own. I like how it turned out.
This time next Friday I should be more then halfway done with the first 20 miles. I can't wait. There has been so much training, fundraising and more training that I am more then ready for the event to be here. I plan to take my camera and capture some of the moments and the great views we are sure to have. My team has made it a point to not walk any of the route so we can experience it for the first time on this walk. I know some would say it is better to train on the actual hills you have to walk but let me tell you there are plenty of hills in San Diego County without walking those particular ones. In fact, I have decided that a lot more of our county is hilly then I previously thought as driving it and walking it are 2 totally different things!

Burning Rings
I just finished yesterday my second pair of socks. I used some Mountain Colors Bearfoot that had been started as socks but never finished and since I couldn't remember what pattern they were and the fact that they were too tight I frogged them. I now have Burning Rings Of Fire Socks.

I love how they look and they were really fun to knit. I think I might just make them again with a few changes. One is I would like them a slight bit taller. Bearfoot does not have a ton of yardage so this was about all I could get out of it, in fact I only had a couple of yards left. Two is I like how the Eye of Partridge heel looks so I would switch to that instead.
I have started another pair of socks. Actually I have started them twice now as the first attempt was too tight. I only knit about 1.5" of the cuff and could barely slip them over my heel so I have jumped up one needle size and I hope that works. Otherwise I will switch yarns as I think a size 2 needle is about as big as I want to go with this yarn.
I am also on my last Boob Hat. It is getting harder to make myself work on them but now that I only have 9 days I guess I have too. Hard to believe that in only 9 days I will be walking 60 miles but after all this training I am ready.
